Player Development Centre Information:
Tuesday 5.00-6.00 - P.D.C 1 (U6-U8) - First Session 13th September
These sessions are slightly more technical than other sessions we coach. P.D.C 1 is designed to challenge our better players in the club. A few selected players will have the opportunity to train with Reading F.C. Academy, providing the players in question have developed beyond their peers and possess good traits consistent with the FA 4-corner model. In the last 5 years we have managed to send around 10 players from this group to Reading F.C. Academy. To attend these sessions you must receive an invitation, please do not turn up if you have not been asked.
Wednesday 5.00-6.00 - Midweek M.S.C (U4-U8) - First session 14th September
Our Saturday M.S.C. has become such a success in recent years that we have the opportunity to run another session exactly the same on a Wednesday evening. We offer these sessions to anyone who would like some more football fun in their school/nursery week. You can 'pay as you play' for £7.00 per session. If youo book online you will also receive free sessions.
Wednesday 5.00-6.00 - G.K.D.C - (U9-U14) - These sessions are for any aspiring goalkeepers who want to come and join us for some qualified GK coaching practices. We welcome anyone to these sessions.
Thursday 5.00-6.00 - P.D.C 2 (U9-U11) - First session 15th September
These sessions are slightly more technical than other sessions we coach, similar to the P.D.C 1, but more age-appropriate for the participants. In these sessions we aim to improve each player's technical ability while making the practice games more realistic.
Thursday 5.00-6.00 - P.D.C 3 (U12-U14) - First session 15th September
These sessions are slightly more technical than other sessions we coach, similar to P.D.C. 1 and 2, but more age-appropriate for the participants. Our aim is to help each player to gain a better game understanding in different situations. So rather than being skill-based, these sessions are situational and more like real games.
Friday 5.00-6.00 - Girls Only Centre (U8-U11) - First session 16th September
This session is similar to our MSC in that we play fun football games to help develop skills and game understanding. It's great for beginners and led by FA-qualified coaches who know how to make football enjoyable for all.
Friday 5.00-6.00 - Girls Only Centre (U12-U16) - First session 16th September
In this session we try to develop skills in a more direct way. We also want to encourage the players to get into teams and games if they want to, so we make sure they are coached in a way that facilitates this.
All our weekly sessions are coached on the AstroTurf at Jubilee Park during the Autumn and Spring Terms and then on the grass at Jubilee Park during the Summer Term.
